About the author:
The poet and prose-writer Vladimir Tuchkov was born in 1949. A graduate of the Moscow timber industry institute, Tuchkov worked as a computer programmer until 1990, when he took up a career as a journalist. The author of several books, including a collection of poems, Vladimir Tuchkov has won both the Novy Mir (New World) magazine and the Magazin Zhvanetskogo (Zhvanetsky’s Shop) journal literary prizes. He is also a laureate of the Turgenev Short Prose Festival.
