The author of this fairytale novel is the well-known writer Marina Vishnevetskaya, the winner of Znamya magazine prize (1996, 2002), the prize for the best story of the year (Belkin prize, 2002) and the grand Apollon Grigorijev prize (2002).
Marina Vishnevetskaya was born in Kharkov, graduated the script-writer’s department of the Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in 1979. Now she is working in animation and documentary as well as on television.
