Patrizia Calefato
Patrizia Calefato is Full Professor of Sociology of Culture and Communication. Her main fields of research are: communication and language, fashion theory, the clothed body, cultural and postcolonial studies, media studies, the social dimension of language, gender studies. She has been Affiliated Professor at the Centre for Fashion Studies, Stockholm University. She is member of the Advisory Boards of various journals, among which “Fashion Theory”, “Semiotica”, “Journal of Asia Pacific Pop Culture”, and of book series such as “Les Cahiers Européens de l’imaginaire” (Paris: CNRS), “Motus: studi sulle società” (Milano: Meltemi), “Culture, moda e società” (Milano: Bruno Mondadori).
